Dear Ms. Wilson:

Eliza Lily was diagnosed with cancer at eight years old. Instead of playing with friends on the playground like she should have been doing, she spent most of her days lying in a hospital bed. Reasonably, Eliza quickly became sad and lonely. As her mother realized this, Eliza was surprised with a Goldendoodle puppy, a companion like one she had never had before. Since the day Marley came into her life, a smile has never left Eliza’s face and her determination and strength are at their all-time highest.

Now count to seven. In that short time, a helpless animal was just put down in a shelter. We know there are many stories similar to Eliza’s. Millions of people find friendship and happiness in an animal but sadly, 3.7 million animals are euthanized each year because shelters do not have the means to take care of them. Pawz for a Cause is an online clothing brand that sets out to help aid this problem. The company offers men and women’s wear and accessories and gives ten percent of its earnings to the cause. Pawz teams up with Stark Humane, the nation’s largest and most effective animal protection organization and we think their story would be a perfect fit for Modern Dog. We have admired your past writing on health and wellness and believe both Pawz for a Cause and Modern Dog could benefit greatly from a collaboration.

We are offering Pawz’s story exclusively to Modern Dog, so we would need to know relatively soon if you are interested. Myself and Pawz would be very willing to set up any interviews or photoshoots that you deem necessary. Please let me know how we might help. My direct contact information is 574-455-6900

I will check in on Wednesday, February 21 at 2:00 p.m. to see if I might be of any help on a possible story. Thank you for your consideration.
